AUDITIONS
Thank you for your interest in joining University Ballet Company!
UBC is holding auditions for our spring performance which will be held on April 18 at Jorgensen Center for the Performing Arts.
Auditions will be held on January 29 at Jorgensen Center for the Performing Arts. Please note: an overflow audition has been added for September 5 at 5:30pm. Please contact us by email universityballetcompany@gmail.com or through Instagram @uballetcompany for more information about auditions.
Auditions Steps
Here is the link to the Google Form to submit your pre-registration.
1. PRE-REGISTRATION
Please complete this Google form prior to your audition. It includes basic questions about you and your background in ballet. We do not expect formal resumes, this is just a way for us to get to know you.
2. LIVE AUDITIONS
Live auditions will be held on January 29 at Jorgensen Center for the Performing Arts. Female dancers should wear solid colored leotards, pink ballet tights, ballet flats, and hair pulled back into a ballet bun or French twist. Ballet skirts are optional. Please bring your pointe shoes if you are interested in a pointe role. Male dancers should wear an athletic t-shirt and ballet tights or athletic pants with ballet flats.
The live auditions will consist of an abbreviated ballet class and short sections of choreography. You are welcome to arrive up to 30 minutes early to warm up and get checked in, however, the theater will not be open before then.
